We at the Author’s Interest Project are delighted to announce the opening of applications for Visiting Fellowships in 2020 and 2021. These Fellowships are intended to support outstanding emerging researchers to conduct innovative research into creators’ rights in the outstanding research environment of the Melbourne Law School. This is a unique opportunity to travel to Australia, connect with like-minded colleagues, and develop ideas in the collegial and supportive environment of the Intellectual Property Research Institute of Australia (IPRIA).
As regular readers of this site will know, the Author’s Interest Project is investigating how taking creators’ rights seriously can help get them paid and reclaim lost culture. The research team has a particular interest in reversion rights, but applications will be accepted in any area related to improving the lot of creators. The opportunity is open to scholars in any field, and we expect it to be of particular interest to those in law, economics, creative economics and publishing studies.
Applications for the 2020 intake close April 15. There will be a second intake next year.
