Last year when leading science-fiction author and activist Cory Doctorow was touring Australia with his new book Walkaway, we sat down to talk about the author’s interest in copyright. We get stuck into the reasons for declining writer incomes, how to break Amazon’s dominance over the book market, and Cory’s cool new ebook platform platform intended to get authors a bigger share – ‘Shut up and take my money’. (At last) here’s the video!
Cory and I also participated in a panel at the Wheeler Centre about getting writers paid – you can view that spirited (and sometimes fiery) discussion here.
